my apartment

the housing projects my building is inthe playground by my building...strange things happen here.
my street
this is my building. my apartment is on the top right
my living room
the closet
my bedroom
my fan. easily the best thing in my apartment. i am so glad i spent 399 yen on that.
my desk in the living room. this is where i usually am now that i have internet.

the lime tree outside my window where many spiders and cicada live

the hallway in the front room. the door with my bathrobe on it is the door to what i call the "toilet room", that is the washing machine in front of the door, and the "tub room" is at the end of the hall. the blue thing on the right side of the picture is my clothes dryer. most people put these on their balcony, but i don't have one so it stays in the front part of the apartment.

above is the oft discussed tub. i have gotten it cleaned as well as i can and recently found a sponge that is on a long piece of plastic that i am hoping will enable me to finally get underneath and around it as clean as my anal self desires. and, i did finally get the water heater worked out (for the most part). i still have to adjust the temperature the whole time i "shower" although i don't know that you can call it that when i am crouched in the tub, but adjusting the temperature between a little too cold and a little too hot is a huge improvement over ice cold or fire hot.
the toilet. for some reason the girl who lived here before had rocks up on the top part which is the tank. i am happy to report i have finally gotten those out of there.
the kitchen is above and my refrigerator, microwave and toaster oven are below.
so that is where i live now. i took the day off work today and spent another few hours cleaning in the kitchen. i feel like i am finally getting it to the point of cleanliness that i am comfortable with and i have to say that i am really proud of the work i've done. it looks and smells so much better than when i first walked in. this place is slowly growing on me. hopefully it won't be too long before i start to feel at home here.

Dont you live in Japan? Isnt there some kind of high tech robot to do all the cleaning for you?

p.s. If you can would you please find my "key pal" from japanese 102.

p.p.s. Key pal means electronic pen pal, my crazy teacher thought of that.

sure thing...there are only 125 million people here. it shouldn't take me that long.

and i will gladly accept a robot as an early christmas gift. they can clean. and maybe then i will have a friend.

I thought the rocks were a nice touch...atleast it drew your attention from the distended neck of the toilet. What's that about?
